Mankier in München, eventually in Edinburgh

A long delay before the final leg…

My ‘bed’ for the night

It took me quite a while to find Hans im Glück. It’s upstairs in another building that is a accessed via a shuttle train. Once I’d found it, I guzzled a Fabelhafter (wheat patty, avocado cream, orange and mustard sauce & herb salad) with chunky fries and a Diet Coke. I then found a seat with a powerpoint, just outside Hans im Glück, near to a toilet and also near to other facilities I need from time to time.

Facilities!

It also turned out that I was trapped in this building – the shuttle doesn’t run between 23:30 and 04:00.

I carried on writing up my notes from Thursday. This took until about 4am. I killed a few more hours watching Ash vs Evil Dead, then went in search of breakfast: a double espresso and two pretzels.

I’m not sure how I stayed awake until my 11:05 flight. I know I slept through most of it. But what a lovely sight to see Elly waiting for me! So I’m home, I’ve unpacked, I have a mountain of laundry to do and I’m drained. But it’s been a good trip – thanks to Renato, Hugo and Leandro and many others, I’ve learnt a lot, gathered some data and had a great time. I have a lot of follow-up to do over the next few  weeks, so for the last time for this trip: nighty-night!
